ZNDC 2011

The 2011 edition of the Zimbabwe National Debating Championships held at Chinhoyi University of Technology has come and gone. Some of the major highlights of the tournament included all GZU teams advancing to the semi-finals(a feet unmatched by any other institution), a team from NUST being clobbered by a GZU team until one of their members cried and a rookie team from Madviwa upsetting tournament veterans and going all the way. The tourney ended by being taken by NUST for a second year running.

The GZU team is happy to announce that all our debating and adjudication teams broke into the semi-finals. The team members also broke into the Public Speaking semi-finals.At the present moment the team has already submitted registration for the premier African debate competition, the Pan-African Universities Debating Championship(PAUDC) to be held by Zimbabwe(the venue is the world-class Falcon College in Esigodini). The last edition was held in Windhoek, Namibia where only one Zimbabwean team progressed to the semis.
